GUILIN ATTRACTIONSReed Flute Cave - Situated in the north western suburbs of Guilin, this is a must to see. The Cave is filled with a large number of stalactites, stalagmites and strangely shaped rocks. It is named after the kind of flutes growing outside which can be made into melodious flutes. The Cave is about 240 m long and it takes about one hour to explore. Illuminated by coloured lights the cave looks like a dazzling palace. Inside the cave are more than 70 inscriptions written in ink which date back to 792AD.
Beauty Peak - Take a climb to the top of the 152 m solitary Beauty Peak which offers breathtaking views of the town of Guilin, the Li River and surrounding hills.
Li River - The Li River winds its way southeast for about 437 km passing through Guilin, Yangshuo, Pingle, Zhaoping meeting the Xi River in Wulin. It is one of the most popular and beautifully scenic areas in China. The 83 km long waterway from Guilin to Yangshuo is an artists dream. The landscape is a varied mix of rolling hills, steep cliffs, wonderful caves and is lined with bamboo. Don't miss the opportunity to take a cruise along this magnificiently beautiful river.
